TERMS OF SALE

These Terms of Sale govern the sale of all snakes by BMC Bioscience, LLC (BMC Bioscience).  By agreeing to purchase a snake from BMC Bioscience, you (the Customer) agree to the following:

PAYMENT AND PAYMENT PLANS

BMC Bioscience will not ship snakes before they pass our state of health quality checkups and  are paid for in full.  The Customer enters into an agreement to purchase a snake with a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of thirty percent (30%) down with the balance due within ninety (90) days.  Should the Customer's snake become ill or die during the 90-day period, BMC Bioscience will provide the Customer with a full refund.  If, for any reason whatsoever, the Customer fails to pay the balance prior to the expiration of the 90-day period, BMC Bioscience will keep your thirty percent (30%) deposit and return any additional monies that you have paid.  BMC Bioscience is a registered Biotech business in the state of Indiana, Overhead funding is required to maintain any animal the Customer agrees to purchase, hence the need to retain 30% of the deposit in the event of the Customer’s breach of agreement.

HEALTH

Unless otherwise disclosed, all snakes are in perfect condition and have not had any history of nidovirus in our robust screening program, internal or external parasites, respiratory infection, prolapse, kinks or skinfolds.  One nidovirus negative test result certificate, from one of BMC Bioscience preferred AAVLD accredited laboratories, is included in the price of all snakes.  The Customer is responsible for properly disinfecting and maintaining their facility as well as quarantining all new specimens for a sufficient period of time.  BMC Bioscience will not be responsible for the alleged or actual death or illness of other animals in your collection due to your failure to follow appropriate disinfection, maintenance, and quarantine protocols.  Provided that BMC Bioscience does not specifically state that an animal is feeding on live mice, every snake that it sells will have been aggressively feeding on frozen-thawed mice.  Customer represents and agrees that he or she has the knowledge, ability and experience necessary to properly care for these animals.  BMC Bioscience will take reasonable steps to provide after-sale support and advice, but cannot guarantee that the Customer's new snake will thrive due to differences in facility environment and husbandry practices.  Snakes sometimes go off-feed as a result of the stress of shipping or being placed in a new environment.  This is particularly true for sexually mature males.

SHIPPING

Shipping within the continental United States is included in the price of all snakes, unless stated otherwise.  BMC Bioscience requires that snakes be held for pickup at the nearest staffed shipping facility agreed to by the Customer.  BMC Bioscience reserves the right to ship when we are comfortable with ALL conditions pertaining to the health and safety of the live animal being shipped.  The Customer must acknowledge when they are ready to receive the animal and provide a valid, receiving contact, address, phone number, and e-mail prior to the act of shipping.

LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE

BMC Bioscience guarantees live arrival, provided that Customer complies with all of the following requirements:

1.      The Customer must pick up the package within one (1) hour of the shipping facility making it available for pick up;

2.     The Customer must notify BMC Bioscience of any problems within two (2) hours of receiving the package; and

3.     The Customer must provide BMC Bioscience with a clear picture of the deceased animal(s). 

Should a snake arrive deceased, and the Customer satisfies the above requirements, BMC Bioscience will provide the Customer with a full refund.  If the Customer insists that BMC Bioscience ships directly to his or her door, or if hold for pickup is not an option, live arrival is not guaranteed.

BMC Bioscience does not export.

SEXING POLICY

Because of the delicate nature of their spines, green tree pythons cannot be safely sexed via probe until they are over 100 grams.  Accordingly, all hatchling green tree pythons are sold as “unsexed” animals unless we have the entire lineage available to provide the option for DNA sexing.
